She told us recently “he spent the last several days of his life clutching his doggie”. This breaks my heart and yet also makes me feel glad he had a Memorable Pet to comfort him!

This week's Memorable Monday post remembers Judy from Long Beach, who bought her mother a Memorable Pet calico cat. Judy's mother loves to hold and pet her stuffed cat. These kinds of bonds between Alzheimer's patients and stuffed animals are very strong and tend to form very quickly. Giving a stuffed pet to a loved one with Alzheimer's or dementia can be a very simple yet meaningful way of adding purpose to their lives.
