Memorable Pets: The Smallest Gesture

This week's Monday post features a lovely blog entry over at Dementia by Day, written by Rachael Wonderlin.

Rachael recently opened up a "pet shop", including a handful of Memorable Pets, at her dementia care facility, and has been keeping note of how the residents are responding to the pet shop area and its stuffed animal pets.

"I handed Helen one of the stuffed dogs from our new Pet Shop area. I knew how much she enjoyed the baby dolls we had, so I hoped that she would also like the dogs."
