Christmas Wishes Come True... But Were Almost Ruined

Christmas is usually very special for children... this little girl, Reese, is no exception!  Her frantic mother, Rebecca, contacted me on December 23rd to see if I had a Reborn Baby ready to ship out OVERNIGHT!!  She had ordered one on Etsy and the shop owner was not returning her emails or phone calls!  The reborn baby was promised to be delivered before Christmas... that was not going to happen.

Luckily I had one baby, dressed as a girl, I could send. Reese really wanted a boy, so her mother went out that night and purchased some boy-like clothes. It was fine because our reborns are unisex unless you purchase the option of a belly plate.

I shipped the baby overnight to be delivered to Tennessee by 3 pm on Christmas Eve. All day on the 24th, I was hoping the baby would arrive as promised by the USPS. At around 2:45 pm I received an email from the mother that the baby had arrived safely and she was thrilled!  Now my mind could rest.

On Christmas morning Reese opened her present and was so... happy!!  She named the little "fellow" Jax.  All's well that ends well.

5 Gift Ideas for Someone with Dementia

Today we would like to share a wonderful article written by Rachael Wonderlin over at Dementia by Day, which lists five great products that can be helpful and stimulating for dementia patients (as well as their caregivers).

Featured items include Tile (an electronic device pair with a mobile app which acts as a GPS locator for items like keys, wallets, and anything you'd miss if it were lost), a phone that only receives calls (for those who have loved ones prone to placing calls in the middle of the night), and of course... Memorable Pets!

Memorable Pets "Pet Shop" at Dementia Care Community

This Monday, we would like to thank Rachael Wonderlin, memory care coordinator and manager at Brookdale Senior Living, for her Memorable Pets purchases and ongoing support of Alzheimer's research and awareness. Rachael recently set up a "pet shop" using two Memorable Pet plush dogs at her dementia care community. Residents of the center who stopped by the pet shop laughed and smiled while petting the stuffed dogs.

Plush Siamese Cat Fills Void Left by Beloved Family Pet

Charles from Schenectady recently ordered a Siamese kitten Memorable Pet for his wife, who lives with him in a combination assisted facility and nursing home. The plush kitten arrived a day earlier than expected, and Charles promptly showed off the fluffy pet: "I showed the cat to the social workers who loved it. I gave them one of the brochures enclosed with my order."

His wife's reaction to the cat was equally positive. Though the stuffed kitten doesn't yet have a name, she sleeps with it every night and keeps on her lap when using her wheelchair.

"I'm glad we found you," Charles says of Memorable Pets, "The cat fills a void left by our Siamese Mimi who was part of our family for 20 years."

Thank you so much for your purchase, Charles! We truly hope your wife continues to love her new Siamese kitten and that it will provide her with comfort and happiness. Take care.
